MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING
TOWN OF RANCHO VIEJO
MAY 15, 2009
A Special Meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Rancho Viejo, Texas was held on May 15, 2009 at the Town Municipal Office, 3301 Carmen Avenue, Rancho Viejo, Texas, the same being open to the public. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Craig B. Flood at 9:00 A.M. Roll call was made by Isabel Pereles, Assistant Town Secretary. Aldermen present at the meeting were:
Mr. William Dorsett
Mr. Roberto Medrano
Mr. Miguel Salinas
Aldermen absent from the meeting were:
Mr. John Dunkel
Mrs. Maria V. Garza
A quorum was present for the meeting.
Mr. Daniel Rentfro, legal counsel, was present at the meeting. Cheryl J. Kretz, Town Administrator, was present.

Alderman Salinas presented Mayor Flood a plaque expressing appreciation for his four years of service as the Mayor of Rancho Viejo.
ADMINISTER OATH OF OFFICE AND INSTALLATION OF
ELECTED OFFICIALS:
Mr. Daniel Rentfro administered the Oath of Office to Roberto Medranoas Mayor of Rancho Viejo. He then administered the Oath of Office to Jean Hager and Lupita Cervantes Carr as aldermen of Rancho Viejo.
ORIENTATION:
Mr. Flood reviewed the current projects, budget and financial information, and on going town procedures with Mayor Medrano and the aldermen.
EXECUTIVE SESSION:PURSUANT TO THE FOLLOWING SECTION OF
THE TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE:SECTION 551.074 TO DISCUSS
THE APPOINTMENT OF A PUBLIC OFFICER(APPOINTMENT OFALDERMAN):
Motion was made by Alderman Dorsett, seconded by Alderman Hager, and unanimously carried, that the Board go into Executive Session pursuant to the following section of the Texas Government Code: Section 551.074 to discuss the appointment of a public officer (appointment of alderman) at 11:45 A.M.
The Board reconvened to open session at 11:55 A.M.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 11:57A.M.
